Have a "spook-tacular" Halloween!

Lily's in good Halloween form in her lil pumpkin shirt from Nonni.  Seems pretty fitting, as we always call her our little pumpkin!  She's going to be sporting her costume tomorrow evening while we hand out candy ... photos to follow.
All smiles, as she enjoys the texture of the cozy rug in her room!!

Polka dots

Little girl looks so big from this shot.  She is growing by the day.  It was chilly enough this past weekend to put on the little polka dots, as we ventured out.

So much to see and all the better to do so on her tummy.

 Hi, hi!

I see you

Lily has started waking up and instead of crying right away, she takes time to check things out.  She peaks her little head up and scans the room for mommy or daddy.  Sometimes when she needs to go down for a nap, she does the same thing.  It's tough to be strict with her when she lights up with a huge smile!!

"I'm ready to get up now.  Who's gonna pick me up?"

"I still see you over there..."

 "Pleeeeeeeeease."

"She's coming, she's coming!  Yeah, I'm getting picked up!!"

See for yourself... :-)

Lily and her bunny

When I was a little tyke, one of my favorite buddies was my little white bunny.  Polly.  She isn't very white anymore.  She saw lots of drool, love and adventures in her day.  Lily has her own little white bunny and it gives me such joy to watch her start to love her little stuffed toy.  A girl and her bunny ... let the adventures begin!
"I see you, bunny ... you better play with me - or else!"

"You like to be held by the ear, right??"

Kisses for her new friend!

Story time

She won't sit through a novel, by any means, however, a story here and there is a favorable activity for our little tot.  She enjoys the new book from grandma that allows her to experience touch and feel.  Everything is so new for Lily and thus a new experience for mom and dad!!

"I want to help hold the book, dad."

"That bunny felt funny!"

Rockin' and Rollin'

The fall morning air was crisp, to say the least, but we bundled up and headed out to cheer Dan and Erin on in the Denver Rock n' Roll marathon and 1/2 marathon.  Lily did SO well.  She was entertained by all the music, colors and thousands of people

Good morning!  Mom and dad have me so bundled up.  I am snug as a bug and ready to cheer on the runners!
Erin rocked it (literally) in her 4th 1/2 marathon!!
Robb is such a good daddy.  Taking Lily duty in the shade, while E and I wait for Dan to finish the full marathon.
Dan, arms in the air, crosses the finish line, knocking over 1/2 hour off his previous PR.  Way to kick butt, Dan-O!!

First walk in the fall air

We bundled Lily up and went for an evening walk.  Her little nose got all red.  She isn't used to the cold yet.  Too cute!

Weekend with the girls ... and their boys - don't forget Reggie!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting two of my "besties" from college - - Sheanne and Janelle.  Sheanne brought her new little man, McCall along and with kids "in-tow" we had a girls + their guys weekend.  The additions gave reason for renting ... wait, wait ... did you guess it??? ...a minivan!!  It was quite the site - seeing Robb drive that beast.  Needless to say, the experience behind the wheel did NOT leave him wanting to buy one (heehee) ;-).

Lily got some lap time with Sheanne.

Instant buddies ... they are even holding hands!  So cute!

Lap time take 2, with Janelle.

Sheanne, Laura, Janelle and I - one heck of a great reunion weekend!!

Big eyes

Hello world!  I am awake from a nap and ready to play, play, play!!
Little squishy cheeks.  She maintains the big eyes even when she's under pressure, literally.
Standing tall and taking it all in.

Drool

Drool; essential to the process of popping out those pearly whites but man it's everywhere, making wet messes from her, to Robb and I and onto every burp cloth and blanket she encounters!  Lily has been a drooling machine for the past two months or so.  She wants everything in sight in her mouth.  She often gets her entire hand in her mouth - - yum, yum!!  We have learned to embrace drool and love it for what it represents ... a future full of beautiful, pearly smiles!

Busted.  "You caught me.  Yep, I have drool on my chin.  Could you grab the burp cloth mom?"

Chewing away.  Dang, if only adults could be that satisfied by gnawing on their own hand...

Hi sweet girl!

Woo-hoo!  Finally a pair of shoes that stayed on for longer than 1 minute!  I had to capture the rare moment.

The final days of summer

We spent the final weekend of September in Colorado Springs, hanging out with Nonni, Papa, uncle Mikey and auntie Meghan.  Lily got to see the big, real animals at the zoo.  She's too young yet to really get it.  None-the-less, her facial expressions told her story - - "WOW"!

Little peanut is rocking her fishy dress.  This outfit was one of the firsts I bought after we found out we were having a girl.  Just goes to show that I had a lot to learn about seasons and sizing...I still do.  This little guy is still big on her, but with fall upon us, this was really her last shot at wearing it.

These little feet.  Where will they take her someday?  Precious.

Nonni enjoys her time with baby girl.  Just a swingin' away on the porch swing.

Uncle Mikey makes time to flex his big guns and hold Lily.

Lily, meet giraffe.  She seems more interested in the little boy next to us.  She loves watching big kids.

I think she sees the little critter.  You never know what exactly it is that is catching her eye.
