Joel

Family.  Simply stated, they are my life.  For anyone who knows me well, you know that I would do anything for them.

3/4/11

The day will stand out in my mind forever.

Joel, wherever you are, please know that I love you and respect you, your talents, your humor, your ability to make us all laugh.  I want to hear your beautiful laughter again.  I want to share memories from the past, as we giggle and dream and create new ones for the future.

Family.  Together we live, laugh, love.  Together we can get through ANYTHING.  I would do anything for you.

Beautiful baby blue bath eyes

There are some things that you just know your child got from your spouse.  Lily, without a doubt has daddy's long eyelashes!!  The other night we captured them during bath time.  When they get wet you can really see how long those puppies are!  They are pretty light, as are Robb's but girls have ways of making lashes stand out - when she is much, much older, of course!

Lily is 9 months on Sunday!  As Robb and I look back at where we were and where we are now we can't help but smile.  We have learned a lot about nursing, sleeping, not sleeping, feeding, schedules and of course ... poop-poh.  I don't think either of us would have thought we could have a conversation about poop! LOL.

Here's to the most amazing 9 months ...! CHEERS!  We love you our little Lily BEE!!!

It's never too late to have a little Christmas joy...right?

Remember, I said I had some blogging to catch up on??  Well before we hit St. Patrick's Day, I figured I better get the Christmas memories up!!

In late January, we finally found a date that worked for the Doerksen crew to gather to celebrate Christmas.  Better late than never...right??

Lily enjoyed tearing at the paper ... and trying to eat it (of course)!!

Papa D gets some lap time with Lily.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....???

This photo doesn't capture all of the details of what was going on here.  Danny and Katy, being in South Korea, had sent over some "very interesting" little snackies for us all to try/share at the Christmas gathering.  One of the items was a can of ... well ... I think they were some sort of canned bugs!  I think Nonni had just tried one in this photo.  It was classic to watch the facial expressions after "indulging" ...LOL!
